Plank, a local yoga studio and boutique, opened in Ridgefield, Connecticut – complementing its original store in Katonah, New York.  This job required a full gut renovation of an existing commercial space and included the permitting, interior architecture, finish specifications (including sourcing and pricing), and design of custom furniture and built-ins for a yoga studio, retail display, point of sale, café space, and tree-house-inspired play space.

Permitting included conceptulizing the space, creating site plans, evaluating site constraints, and zoning requirements. It also included drafting construction documents - detailed, scaled drawings that include architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing details. During the permitting process, we also made sure the designs met all applicable codes, and submitted the applications to local authorities. We also managed plan revisions, coordinated with structural and mechanical engineers and submited applications to local authorities.
