Designing homes for couples who no longer have children living with them (at least not all the time!) is something we take pride in doing. This stage of life can present opportunities to really focus on what matters now – whether it’s creating rooms for hobbies (we’ve designed music rooms, workshops, and art studios) or designing a home with room for grown children to come and stay for a weekend or more – maybe even with children of their own.

Empty Nesters can live exactly the way they want to – and with the added peace of mind that they’ll never have to leave! We design for aging in place – with one floor living; very few, if any steps; and zero-entry showers. All of this is done with function and style in mind, so you’ll live comfortably and beautifully.

Designing Forever Homes

At our sustainable architecture firm, we specialize in designing homes that reflect the evolving needs of Empty Nesters. These homes prioritize personal interests, such as spaces for hobbies like music rooms, workshops, and home offices, while also supporting family gatherings. With sustainability in mind, we incorporate eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient solutions to create beautiful, functional homes that minimize environmental impact.

Sustainability and Long-Term Comfort

Our designs prioritize sustainability, integrating energy-efficient technologies and eco-friendly materials to reduce environmental impact and energy costs. These homes are built for the long-term, with durable, low-maintenance materials that require minimal upkeep. By blending beauty, comfort, and sustainability, we create spaces that Empty Nesters can enjoy for years while supporting a greener future.

Flexibility and Adaptability for Future Needs

We design homes that can evolve alongside the needs of Empty Nesters, offering spaces that can easily adapt to changing family dynamics. Whether it’s a flexible guest room for visiting children or grandchildren or ensuring the home is accessible as homeowners age, we focus on longevity and comfort. Key features, like wider hallways and non-slip floors, ensure that homes remain functional and accessible for years to come.
